Having a healthy relationship with food and you body is tricky. I dealt with the challenge and now, I am here to help others overcome the challenge. Studying nutrition and ultimately founding The Runners Recipe was decided based off my own experiences with improper eating habits and the frustration of not understanding how various health factors impact our well-being and performance. As a cross country and track runner in high school, I remember the constant struggle of balancing my diet with my training regimen. I always had home cooked meals on the table every night after practice and races, but I never knew how much to eat. I found myself stuffing myself at dinner, but still had difficult falling asleep later that night because I was hungry. I never touched a sports drink or sports products other than protein powder because I thought they had too much sugar. Not knowing how to approach nutrition left me feeling drained, both physically and mentally.

It became clear that there was a significant gap in my knowledge about nutrition and its crucial role in athletic performance. I realized that many athletes, like myself, were unaware of how even the smallest nutritional adjustments could make a significant difference in how we feel and perform. This lack of understanding led to unnecessary struggles and hindered my ability to reach our full potential.

Determined to bridge this gap, I pursued a deeper understanding of sports nutrition. Through my studies and experiences, I am learning about the importance of fueling our bodies properly, embracing food freedom, and practicing intuitive eating. These principles not only optimize athletic performance but also promote a healthy and balanced relationship with food.

With this newfound knowledge, I founded The Runners Recipe to help fellow athletes navigate their performance nutrition journeys. My goal is to provide guidance and support, emphasizing that optimal fueling is not about restriction or guilt but about nourishing our bodies with confidence and freedom. By sharing my experiences and expertise, I aim to empower athletes to make informed choices that enhance their performance and overall well-being. With my growing knowledge and experience in sports nutrition, I am confident that I can help you achieve your nutrition goals and enhance your athletic performance.
